Anura are toad-like humanoids. They tend to live in plains and grasslands with large communities in Izono and Odo. Their coloration varies widely, but most have mottled brown skin with ridges and bumps. Their large eyes have horizontal pupils. They are nonverbal but are known to make high-pitched croaking sounds. They love the written word and make tenacious researchers and scholars. They are not amphibious and deliver their young in the same way that all humanoids do.
Archons are extremely beautiful avian humanoids. They have magnificent gray, brown, or golden wings erupting from their back. Overall, as a race, they epitomize the golden ratio. When most humans gaze at them for the first time, they are filled with awe at their beauty. Archons understand this effect they have on humans and use it to their full advantage.
Bruskin are bison-headed humanoids. They are muscular and tend to be short-tempered, but this is a stereotype. Most are very nice. They originate from the high plains and frozen steppes north of the Great Fungal Swamp and Tal-El. They lack the vocal cords to speak as well and use sign language and other means to communicate.
Canids are dog-headed humanoids that come in many different breeds. Most lack the vocal cords for full speech and rely on other means to communicate. They can hear and smell perfectly, and some also have incredible eyesight.
Drav are reptilian humanoids with greenish to golden scales and usually green to yellow-slitted eyes. They have somewhat long crocodilian tails that taper to a point. They hail from the Great Fungal Swamp of northern Heo, Dian, Chiga, and Nois.
Goblins, AKA Gobbers, are greenish humanoids about 5’ tall. They have sharp, protruding teeth that point in many different directions. They greatly enjoy the taste of other humanoids, and they love to inflict fear and pain upon their victims. Those they don’t eat, they sell on the various slave markets or hold for ransom. They are very tribal and are group hunters. Cowardly by nature. They like to make sure they have an overwhelming advantage before engaging.
Harpies are avian humanoids. They lack the separate wings of archons and are not overly graceful fliers. Instead, their arms are winged like bats, but they have feathers like birds. Their heads resemble hawks or other birds of prey, but they can speak without having to use sign language. Their legs end in muscular claws used for defense and gripping branches. They live in cliffside communities high in the mountains. Their huts (called roosts) hang precariously off the cliffs and are entered from below. They tend to isolate themselves from other humanoids and avoid large cities of mixed races.
Before the turning, there were only humans. Humans are still the predominant race, and all other races derive from them.
Neander are smallish humanoids with ram horns. They are excellent climbers and hail from the Lachan mountain range. They are sometimes mistaken for satyrs, but they are a completely different race.
Though not dead, as their name would suggest, necrotic elves were created when Elsa Prime fell to Ert. The drives of the ancient starship were powered by an element called kryon. It buried itself deep into a crater in the Tal-El forest, now called the Fingerprint of the Gods. Those it did not kill outright were altered forever by the kryon fallout. Necrotic elves are pale white with golden eyes. They are resistant to the poisonous effects of kryon dust, and other elves fear and loathe them. Raw kryon is an extremely powerful energy source, and even with their resources, it took quite some time for Ephis to develop ways to harness it safely. Some would debate they still haven’t. Necrotic elves are vital in mining operations with their high resistance to the effects, but they rarely see the benefit of their labor. Their underground city of Sehet is in the northern part of the crater. It is from here that mining operations are conducted.
Ogrums are large goblinoids. Unlike gobbers, they have a much different work ethic and even a sense of honor and loyalty. Extremely muscular, they make for great manual laborers but are intelligent enough to hold positions of power and prestige in less arduous professions.
The green skin is the only fundamental feature they share with other goblinoids. They do not lust for humanoid flesh or lack oral hygiene like their brethren. They tend to have large uniform tusks, which they take great pride in, and enjoy piercings such as earrings in their ears and noses.
Padlings are feline humanoids. Like canids, they cannot speak directly but have fully articulated hands to sign and write. They hail from Exa, Exica, and other southern lands. Their most notable ability is making little to no noise when moving.
Pygellans are swine-like humanoids. They tend to be short and stocky but are also outstanding artisans with surprisingly nimble fingers. They excel at carpentry, needlework, plumbing, machining, and many other trades. There is an old term consisting of a compound of two words, “Of” and “Pygellan.” It means of high quality. So the phrase, “The net is ofpyg,” could describe a very well-made net.
Rodentia are rat-like humanoids about 4’ tall. As a race, they are very agile and intelligent, though some people feel squeamish around them.
Satyrs are tall goat-like humanoids with medium straight or slightly curled horns, backward-facing knees, and cloven hooves. They love parties and festivals and make excellent entertainers. They also have an affinity for music and dance. They hail from various places in Ropa. Ropa is a large land mass far across the Etlante Sea to the east.
Titans are the largest humanoids. They range from 7 to 12 feet tall and weigh hundreds to even thousands of pounds. However, their population remains very sparse and isolated. They have slow breeding cycles with long gestation periods and rarely interbreed with other races. They are also the most long-lived race and can live for centuries.
Wood Elves are a race of humanoids known for their pointed ears and slight build. Originally from the vast forest of Tal-El, they have long since migrated across the globe, and the current worldwide population is only second to humans.
